This weekly feature will take another look at some of the biggest stories of the week on PL.com.

It will also devote time to some of the stories that just didn't make it to the front page of most poker publications.

Steve Brecher shoots farther at WPT Bay 101

The longtime circuit veteran had gone his entire poker career without WPT, WSOP or EPT win, but he put that all behind him on Saturday. The former software programmer beat a tough final table that included noted pro Kathy Liebert to claim his first major tournament victory.

The final table lasted a WPT-record 319 hands, and Brecher had to produce a minor miracle when he got lucky against Liebert in three-handed play, but he finally secured the +$1 million for first place.

OMGClayAiken, Urindanger tick off Gus Hansen

Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond, Di "Urindanger" Dang and Hac "trex313" Dang have made a large portion of their poker winnings from Full Tilt pro Gus Hansen, so they must have been scared when Hansen seemingly accused Galfond and Urindanger of colluding against him.

Hansen said the hand was "too suspicious" after Urindanger made a questionable (to Hansen) shove. Urindanger responded diplomatically by saying, "You're an idiot."

Despite all the talk Hansen was apparently not that serious, as the next day Galfond asked for an apology and the Great Dane clarified that he was frustrated at the time. Losing $100,000 in a pot will do that to a person.

Greg Raymer appears on Fox Business

2004 WSOP Champion Greg Raymer was interviewed by the folks over at Fox Business news and made a strong argument for the legalization and regulation of online poker to help the struggling U.S. economy.

Proving that poker celebrities still have some power in the mainstream media, the entire team at Fox Business were impressed by Raymer's "Fossilman" glasses.

Unfortunately they referred to him as "Greg Rainer."

Where did the magic go? Player quits poker

The gang over at Pokerati posted a great video about a UNC student finding a magical cure for poker "addiction."

The story centers on the student trading in poker cards for ... Well, actually he kept the cards but instead started doing magic tricks with them.

Apparently the poker world has finally paid the professional magician industry back for wrongfully stealing Antonio Esfandiari back in the day.

Evelyn Ng ruins Daniel Negreanu's life

Daniel Negreanu and Evelyn Ng have always been great friends, so it was surprising that Negreanu blasted her for a recent birthday present on his blog.

Poker keeps you from gambling?

Short-Stacked Shamus over at Hard-Boiled Poker posted an interesting piece about how poker has essentially satisfied his urge to gamble. Apparently it didn't do the same for Phil Ivey.
